Teaching Jobs

  • Instructor, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Waterloo, Jan 2023 - April 2023. Worked as the instructor for one section of the course "Calculus 2 for Honour Mathematics" (MATH 138). Responsibilities included teaching the class 3 hours a week, holding office hours every week, preparing quizzes, mid-term and end-term questions, proctoring mid-terms and end-terms exams, and grading the exams.
     

  • Teaching Assistant, Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Waterloo:

    1) Fall 2024: Currently working as a TA for PMATH 336 (Introduction to Group Theory with Applications) and MATH 647-Online (Foundations of Calculus 1 for Teachers). For PMATH 336, I am responsible for marking the bi-weekly assignments, proofreading Mobius quizzes, proctoring the exams, and marking the take-home finals. For MATH 647-Online, I was responsible for handling the weekly tutorials and marking the weekly assignments.

    2) Spring 2024: Worked as a TA for MATH 636-Online (Linear Algebra for Teachers) and MATH 640-Online (Number Theory for Teachers) in Spring 2024. For MATH 636-Online, my responsibilities included holding office hours weekly and marking the assignments and exams. For MATH 640-Online, the main responsibilities included marking four long assignments.

    3) Winter 2024: Worked as a TA for AMATH/PMATH 332 (Applied Complex Analysis) and as a Tutor for the Teaching Centre in Winter 2024. For AMATH/PMATH 332, my responsibilities included marking the assignments and exams. As a tutor, I was responsible for helping undergraduate students with first year and second year calculus and algebra courses.

    4) Fall 2023: Worked as a TA for PMATH 440/740 (Analytic Number Theory), PMATH 340 (Elementary Number Theory) and MATH 135 (Algebra for Honours Mathematics). For MATH 135, the instructor assigned me as the leader of one of the TA teams and my responsibilities included making the marking scheme for one question on each assignment, distributing the marking among all the TAs assigned to me, and marking the assignments and exams. I was also responsible for handling any remark requests on any assignments. For PMATH 440/740/340, I was responsible for marking the bi-weekly assignments, proofreading Mobius quizzes, proctoring the exams, and marking the take-home finals.

    5) Spring 2023: Worked as a TA for MATH 237-Online (Calculus 3 for Honours Mathematics) and MATH 640-Online (Number theory for teachers) in Spring 2022. For both courses, the main responsibilities included marking assignments and final exams.

    6) Fall 2022: Worked as a TA for PMATH 347 (Groups and Rings) and MATH 147 (Advanced Calculus 1). For PMATH 347, the instructor assigned me as the leader of the TA team and my responsibilities included making the marking scheme for the assignments, distributing the marking among all the TAs, and marking the assignments and exams. I was also responsible for handling any remark requests on any assignments. For MATH 147, I was responsible for handling the weekly tutorials and marking the weekly assignments.

    7) Spring 2022: Worked as a TA for MATH 119 (Calculus 2 for Engineering) and MATH 640-Online (Number theory for teachers) in Spring 2022. For MATH 119, my responsibilities included teaching tutorials, marking the tutorial work, and marking the exams. I received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award for 2021-22 based on the recommendation of the instructor for this course. For MATH 640, the main responsibilities included marking four long assignments.

    8) Winter 2022: Worked as a TA for MATH 135 (Algebra for Honours Mathematics) and PMATH 332 (Applied Complex Analysis) in Winter 2022. For MATH 135, my responsibilities included holding office hours and marking the assignments and exams. For PMATH 332, the main responsibilities included marking biweekly assignments.

    9) Fall 2021: Worked as a TA for two Calculus 1 courses - MATH 117 (Engineering) and MATH 137 (Honours Mathematics). Responsibilities include holding office hours each week, answering questions on Piazza, and marking assignments/exams.

     

  • Teaching Assistant, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Lethbridge:

    1) Fall 2020: Worked as a marker for Mathematical Proofs and Concepts, Calculus-I, Analysis-II and Calculus IiI.

    2) Spring 2020: Worked as a marker for Mathematical Proofs and Concepts, and Calculus-IV. 

    3) Fall 2019: Worked as an instructor for three tutorials of the Introduction to Calculus course (MATH 1010) and marked for Calculus II.

    4) Spring 2019: Worked as an instructor for two tutorials of the Elementary Linear Algebra (MATH 1410) course. Also, worked as an assistant to the instructor for the three tutorials of the Mathematical Concepts (MATH 2000) course and marked for Elementary Linear Algebra.

    5) Fall 2018: Worked as an instructor for two tutorials of the Elementary Linear Algebra course (MATH 1410) and marked for Elementary Linear Algebra.

     

  • Tutor:

    1) Fall 2019 - Fall 2020: Worked as a tutor for mathematics and statistics help sessions organized by the Student Success Centre and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Lethbridge which runs throughout the semester and is aimed at providing help to students in different math and statistics courses.

    2) Fall 2019 - Fall 2020: Worked as a tutor for the Accommodated Learning Centre, University of Lethbridge.

    3) Fall 2018 - Fall 2023: Worked as a private tutor in mathematics.

Research Jobs

  • Research Associate, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Lethbridge, Jan 2021 - Aug 2021. Worked on a follow-up research work based on my Master's research with H. Kadiri and N. Ng, and prepared an article based on this.
